EquiGenes is an educational calculator that estimates possible coat colors for a horse or pony foal from information entered about its parents. Estimates use a simplified model and are not veterinary, genetic, or breeding advice.

The website stores the selected language and interface level in the browser. Entered genetic information is sent to the EquiGenes API to calculate probabilities; the application does not provide user accounts or a search history. If you use the sharing feature, the link contains the entered parental information and reruns the calculation when opened.
